01.05.2020. Bad-Tölz-Eis & Zimt, I must have eaten at more than 1000 ice cream vendors, many in Bella Italia on my journeys. I come from a family of Ice cream enthousiasts and remember we ate Ice creams in half liter cartons, being the pride of my birth city "best Italian". Now in these later stages in life, I had "only" two scoups, but whoah !!!! were they exceptional !!! Have to come back, to convince myself of such quality... 6 Stars !!

The Grangelato is a nice ice cream parlor in the pedestrian zone (Marktstrasse) of Bad Tölz. It is bright and nicely furnished and if the weather allows it there is an outdoor area directly on the Marktstrasse with a perfect view through most of the pedestrian area. It's a great place to sit and enjoy the view. We have become aware of the Grangelato due to the long queue in front of the ice cream cone. It has come true again: Where the locals are there are the good things. The ice cream is really delicious, both the cups and the out-of-house sale. My Black Forest cherry sundae was really huge (you can not really see it in the picture) and tasted the same as a normal little cup at home. The service was fast and friendly and even with the prices for coffee, etc., there was nothing to complain about. In the meantime I was here several times and everything was ok. The Grangelato is definitely highly recommended. Really good! Good Appetite!
